Bikkembergs

黑色

This jacket is a classic example of Dirk Bikkembergs' "Sport Couture" philosophy—a line designed to bridge the gap between high-fashion tailoring and athletic utility. Bikkembergs, one of the original "Antwerp Six," is famous for his obsession with the "healthy, virile" male aesthetic, often drawing direct inspiration from football (soccer) and biker culture.
Key Design Features
Material: It is crafted from a high-quality, grained lamb leather. The texture is intentionally rugged yet supple, designed to age with a natural patina that fits the "tough-luxe" aesthetic of the brand.
Collar Style: It features a mandarin or "racing" collar with a snap-button tab closure, a hallmark of cafe racer and biker jackets.
Zipper Details: The jacket uses heavy-duty, oversized silver-tone hardware. The main central zip is a double-zipper (two-way), allowing the wearer to adjust the fit from the bottom for comfort while sitting or riding.
Construction: * Snap Buttons: There are visible silver snap studs on the chest and collar, which are characteristic of Bikkembergs' industrial and masculine design language.
Cuffs: The sleeves have clean, buttonless cuffs, emphasizing a streamlined, aerodynamic look.
Branding: Often, these "Sport Couture" pieces feature a subtle metal logo plate (seen here on the bottom right pocket area) rather than loud, printed logos, maintaining a more "archival" and sophisticated feel.

The Technical Breakdown
Material: Interestingly, while it has a rugged look, the tag confirms it is 100% Lamb Leather (Pelle di Agnello). Lamb leather is prized in couture because it is significantly softer, lighter, and more supple than cowhide, meaning this jacket likely offers a much more comfortable, "second-skin" feel than a standard heavy biker jacket.

Manufacturer: The jacket was distributed by SINV, an Italian fashion powerhouse based in Schio. SINV has historically handled the production and distribution for high-end brands like Moschino and See by Chloé, which speaks to the high manufacturing standards used for this specific Bikkembergs line.

Production: It was Made in Romania. This is very common for high-end European labels; Romania is renowned for its specialized leather-working factories that handle complex tailoring for the major Italian houses.
Size: You can see a 52 at the very top. In Italian sizing, a 52 typically translates to a US/UK Size 42 or a Large.
